Two great men giving pose for their products.Microsoft,which is a combination of two simple words micro(minute) and soft but Billy by combining dis two words as his product name created a sensation in the software industry....his vision to run his software onto every desk and eventually in every home came true by his excellence,hardwork and no need to mention abt his intelligence............,Apple is the best fruit of all but it also became the best brand among the technical department by the work of great geni....Steve jobs......Microsoft was started in 1975.During that time personal computers were developed with no standards and no preconceived notions of what these new machines could be or could do.The MITS (Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems of Albuquerque)Altair inspired a new generation of technocrats, including Bill Gates and Paul Allen, who were among the first of these early technocrats to realize that the key to the future of personal computing lay in the unlimited potential of software............ Gates and Allen recognized that the compact design of BASIC("Beginner's All-Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code") made it ideal for the limitations of the first personal computers, which had extremely restricted memory and processing .So they started to develop a new software which could support the personal computers that were developed at MITS.They worked day and night and created the first version of MICROSOFT BASIC ..Paul Allen joins MITS (Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems) as Director of Software. , and Gates follows him later that year to form an informal partnership called Micro-soft....Microsoft is not yet an official partnership in fact, the name has not even been chosen. Then BILL in a letter written to ALLE uses the name "Micro-soft" to refer to their (60/40) partnership. MITS promoted the language developed by Gates and Allen as (MICROSOFT_BASIC)............Finally on NOV 26 1976 MICROSOFT is registered with Office of the Secretary of the State of New Mexico ..........in the registration application it was said that the name has been in use since November 12, 1975 but in coordinance with the MITS......
On April Fool's Day, 1976, Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs released the Apple I computer and started Apple Computers. The Apple I was the first with a single circuit board used in a computer. It was released at a price of$666.66 a price high but affordable for one who are intrested to buy a personal computer.It was the first single circuit board PC with video interface and 8K of RAM and a keyboard.A local computer deal owner agreed to sell the apple I systems.Once the systems were displayed,to the surprise all the systems were sold out within ten months .....................which shows the the standards of the APPLE systems..............In 1977 apple introduced their second product APPLE -II ......these products were introduced with BASIC built in....................but during that time microsoft started to introduce much more well deveoped software languages..........keeping this in view apple started to develop a software language..............Apple co-founder Wozniak wrote integer Basic ..................and after sometime a APPLESOFT BASIC was designed.......................and licensed to Apple, Applesoft BASIC offered a richer set of programming commands as well as floating-point arithmetic, allowing for the development of the first generation of business-oriented applications. Applesoft BASIC was first made available on tape and disk.Then it was provided in ROM on the Apple II Plus. In addition the company offered the Applesoft Compiler for customers who wanted the faster performance possible with compiled code ..
